Terms of Use

36 Takes Camera · Last updated June 30, 2026

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the 36 Takes Camera iOS app (the "App"), provided by Thinslate Labs, LLC ("Thinslate Labs", "we", "us"). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

The service

The App is a film-inspired camera: you capture photos in the app, develop and caption them, and can turn a finished roll into a shareable album hosted on the web.

Your account

Creating a shareable album requires signing in with Apple. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your device secure. You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Account → Delete account.

Purchases and billing

  • Film rolls. The App sells film rolls as one-time, consumable In-App Purchases. Each pack adds a set number of 36-shot rolls to your app. The price is shown in the App before you purchase.
  • Payment. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. Purchases are processed by Apple and are also subject to Apple's applicable terms.
  • Consumables. Film rolls are consumed as you use them and are not restorable or transferable between accounts or devices.
  • Refunds. Except where required by law or under Apple's policies, all purchases are final and non-refundable. Refund requests are handled by Apple.

Your content

You retain ownership of the photos and captions you create. When you upload an album, you grant us the limited rights needed to store and serve that album to you and to anyone you share its link with. You are responsible for the content you capture and share and for having the right to share it.

Album hosting and retention

Uploaded albums are hosted for a limited time (currently 30 days), after which they are deleted and their share links stop working. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability of hosted albums and are not a backup service — keep your own copies of photos that matter to you.

Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the App, including by attempting to disrupt it, reverse engineer it except as permitted by law, access it through unauthorized means, upload unlawful or infringing content, or use it for any unlawful purpose.

Intellectual property

The App and its content (excluding your own inputs) are owned by Thinslate Labs and protected by applicable laws. We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes, subject to these Terms.

Disclaimers

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that hosted albums will always be available.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Thinslate Labs will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data or content, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the App.

Changes

We may modify the App or these Terms. When we change these Terms, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which Thinslate Labs, LLC is organized, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
