The idea
Digital photography made every shot free — and made none of them feel special. 36 Takes Camera puts the constraint back. It’s a film-roll camera for events, designed to make capturing feel intentional again.
What it does
- Fresh capture only. No camera-roll imports — every photo is taken live, in the moment, inside the app.
- Exactly 36 to a roll. One roll, thirty-six frames. The limit is the point.
- A develop-and-caption ritual. Each photo goes through a develop step and earns a caption — a small moment of attention per shot.
- Rolls become keepsakes. A finished roll is a finished thing: a gallery you return to, not an endless stream you forget.
