Privacy Policy

36 Takes Camera · Last updated June 30, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Thinslate Labs, LLC ("Thinslate Labs", "we", "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the 36 Takes Camera iOS app (the "App"). By using the App, you agree to this policy.

Information we collect

  • Camera. The App is a camera — you photograph moments in the app, and those photos are stored on your device. We do not access your camera except while you are actively taking a photo.
  • Photo library (saving only). When you save a finished photo, the App writes it to your device's photo library. The App requests add-only access and does not read or browse your existing photos.
  • Account information (albums). Creating a shareable album requires signing in with Apple. We receive an Apple identifier and, depending on your choice, your email address. This is used to create and authenticate your album account.
  • Album content you upload. When you turn a roll into a shareable album, the photos and captions in that album are uploaded to our servers so the album can be viewed on the web and via a share link.
  • Purchases. Film rolls are purchased through Apple's In-App Purchase. We receive a signed confirmation from Apple of the purchase; we do not receive your payment card details — Apple handles payment.

How we use your information

  • To provide the App's features — capturing photos, and creating and serving shareable albums.
  • To create and secure your album account and validate purchases.
  • To operate, maintain, debug, and improve the App.
  • To comply with legal obligations.

How we share your information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with service providers that help us run the App:

  • Apple — for Sign in with Apple and In-App Purchase.
  • Cloudflare R2 — to store the photos and captions in albums you choose to upload, and to serve them via your share link.

Anyone you give an album share link to can view that album until it expires. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights, users, or the public.

Data retention

Photos you take stay on your device unless you upload them to an album. Album photos and captions that you upload are retained for 30 days, after which they are automatically deleted from our servers and the share link stops working. Your album account information is kept until you delete your account.

Your choices and data deletion

  • Delete your account and data. In the App, go to Settings → Account → Delete account. This permanently deletes your album account, your albums, and the photos uploaded to them from our servers, and clears your sign-in on the device. Photos saved on your device are not affected. This action cannot be undone.
  • Request deletion by email. You can also request deletion by emailing contact@thinslatelabs.us.
  • Permissions. You can change camera and photo access at any time in the iOS Settings app.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children

The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

International users

We operate in the United States. If you use the App from outside the U.S., you understand your information will be processed in the U.S. and other countries where our service providers operate.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date above when we do. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
