Add Your Own Affirmations: Rebirth Now Holds Your Quotes Too
Our curated affirmations meet you where you are — uplifting words when you need a lift, calming ones when you need to slow down. But the words that move you most are often your own: the line your therapist gave you, the mantra you repeat before a hard conversation, the promise you made to yourself at the start of the year.
So we added it. Rebirth now lets you add your own quotes — and they show up exactly where the built-in ones do: inside the app and on your home-screen widget.
Bring your own words
Open Your Quotes in Rebirth, type or paste your affirmations — one per line — and tap add. Pasting in bulk works, so you can drop in a whole list at once from your notes app. Each quote can be up to 280 characters, and you can keep up to 200 of them.
From there you choose how Rebirth draws from your collection:
- Built-in only — just our curated affirmations.
- My quotes + built-in — your words mixed in with ours.
- My quotes only — a feed made entirely of what you wrote.
Switch modes anytime. Your quotes flow straight to the home-screen widget too, so the line you wrote yourself can be the first thing you see when you pick up your phone.
Every kind of quote belongs here
People keep all sorts of words close. Rebirth doesn’t care what category they fall into — if it matters to you, add it. A few of the ways people are using it:
Manifestations
Write your goals in the present tense and let them surface throughout the day. “I am a magnet for opportunities.” “The work I’m doing is already paying off.” Seeing your manifestations on the widget keeps your mindset aligned with the reality you’re building — not just on the morning you set the intention, but every time you glance at your phone.
Gratitude
Capture the things you’re thankful for and let them resurface when you least expect it. “I have people who show up for me.” “My body carried me through today.” A gratitude line you wrote in a good moment hits differently when it reappears on a hard one.
Personal wellness reminders
The small instructions you give yourself — “Drink water. Unclench your jaw. Roll your shoulders back.” “You don’t have to answer that message right now.” “Rest is productive.” These are the reminders that never fit a generic affirmations library, because they’re specific to you. Now they live on your home screen.
Mantras and intentions
A single phrase you return to before something hard — a presentation, a workout, a difficult call. “Calm and prepared.” “I do hard things.” Keep it one tap away.
Words from people and books you love
A line from a parent or grandparent. A sentence from a book that rearranged how you see things. A verse, a prayer, a lyric. Rebirth becomes a quiet place to keep the words you don’t want to lose.
Recovery, healing, and boundaries
Affirmations from therapy or a recovery program. Reminders about boundaries you’re holding. “Their reaction is not my responsibility.” “One day at a time.” The words that hold you together deserve to be where you’ll actually see them.
Why the widget matters
A quote you have to open an app to find is a quote you’ll forget on the days you need it most. By putting your own words on the home-screen widget — alongside category artwork or a calming gradient — Rebirth turns repetition into something effortless. You don’t go looking for the reminder. The reminder finds you, dozens of times a day, in your own voice.
That’s the whole idea behind Rebirth: small, steady renewal beats grand resolutions. Now that renewal can be built from the words that are already yours.
Make it yours
Update Rebirth and open Your Quotes to add your first one. Start with a single line that matters to you, drop it on your home screen, and see how it feels to be reminded — in your own words — all day long.
